China's State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- China's State Council on Wednesday announced the appointment and removal of multiple officials.
Zhang Li was appointed assistant minister of commerce.
Ma Huaide was named president of Renmin University of China (vice-ministerial level) in Beijing, replacing Lin Shangli.
Hu Wenping was appointed president of Xiamen University (vice-ministerial level) in East China's Fujian province, replacing Zhang Zongyi.
Dong Xin was removed from the post of deputy director of the National Radio and Television Administration.
