As China's Central Economic Work Conference approaches, markets are closely watching for signals on next year's economic priorities. Betty Wang, head of Northeast Asia Research at Oxford Economics, told China Perspective in a recent exclusive interview that sustained support for household consumption, policy backing for private enterprises—including technological innovation and broader sector participation will be among the key priorities for next year's economic work. She noted that the continuation of relatively accommodative monetary and fiscal policies will also be crucial to stabilizing economic recovery and consolidating the growth momentum in 2026.
