Panda Hao Hao returns to China from Belgium for treatment

The collaboration has yielded positive outcomes in panda breeding, scientific research, and public education, according to the center. One success of the partnership was the birth of three panda cubs: Tian Bao, Bao Di, and Bao Mei.
Since March, Hao Hao has experienced recurring moderate ascites. China dispatched experts from the center to Belgium for joint consultations and treatment, which stabilized her condition, but she was still in need of high-level medical care. Following a comprehensive assessment by experts from both sides, Hao Hao was sent back to China for more sustained and systematic healthcare.
