A valid passport or Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card
Taxpayer identification number (such as SSN, TIN, or VAT number) from your home country or China
A working mobile phone number registered in China

If you don’t hold a work visa or study visa, your application is more likely to be accepted at commercial or international banks, rather than State-owned banks.
You will need to:
Complete an account opening application form
Undergo identity verification
Set or change your card PIN at an ATM after receiving your card
Download the bank’s official mobile app for convenient account management
Note: Keep your bank card safe to prevent loss or unauthorized use. In case of card loss, please report it to the relevant bank promptly.
