At the Chongqing West EMU Depot, part of the China Railway Chengdu Group, rows of inspected bullet trains stand ready for departure. 

During the travel rush, the depot will operate 109 EMU sets daily on regular schedules, with peak deployments reaching 137 sets, achieving a 100 percent utilization rate.
