A new book sharing event was recently held at Today Art Museum in Beijing to promote author Lei Tao's new book, Travel with the Flow.
In the book published by SinoMaps Press, Lei shares his in-depth sojourns across seven European countries over nearly three years, covering a range of travel forms, from interviewing locals and living in small towns to mountain climbing. He explores cultural diversity and the relationship between humans and nature through his encounters with various people.
Co-hosted by Today Art Museum and the Austrian National Tourist Office, the event attracted readers, media and travel industry representatives who shared their thoughts on travel, writing, and daily life.
During the event, Lei drew upon his book to recount his travel experiences across Austria.
He noted that Austria is not defined solely by its music, classical art or cultural symbols, and that its true essence lies in the bustling markets, the intertwined voices and melodies in winter, and the everyday scenes centered on food and wine. It is these warm, daily moments of life that constitute the most heartfelt portrayal of Austria in his writing.
