China's annual two sessions in Beijing have drawn extensive media coverage from reporters at home and abroad. During the ongoing session of the top legislature, China Daily reporter Yan An spoke with Al-Obaidi Ameen, an Iraqi journalist from China-Arab TV. A seasoned correspondent who covered the V-Day parade on Sept 3 and appeared at the 2026 CMG Spring Festival Gala, Ameen praised China's consistent efforts to promote world peace and development.

"China has been working tirelessly to champion peace across the world," Ameen said. "I hope more foreign journalists will share the true story of China with the world".

Amid global turbulence, Ameen said that China is both confident and stable as it charts its future direction via the two sessions. "People in many countries envy you," he added.
