Science: A science museum to put into use

A new Science and Technology Museum will be completed by May 2008 inside the
Olympic Green, part of which will be open to people during the Beijing Olympic
Games, the new museum cost more than 1.1 billion yuan (US$140 million), will
cover an area of 48,000 square metres to the north of two Olympic stadiums.

The 16th National Invention Exhibition will be held in Dongguan of South
China's Guangdong Province from September 21-24. It aims to exhibit new
technology and products invented by the Chinese people. About 1,500 new
inventions will be featured this year, with participants also coming from Hong
Kong, Macao and Taiwan. (China Daily)
