Transportation: Air China passengers up

The country’s flagship carrier, Air China Ltd., said Friday it carried 18.9
percent more passengers in April than in the same month last year.
During the month, the Beijing-based airline carried 2.6 million passengers,
while cargo volume rose 5.8 percent to 68,230.4 metric tons, it said.
The company didn’t provide comparison figures, and didn’t elaborate on its
latest traffic figures. Air China’s passenger load factor, a measure of how much
of its available seats were filled, rose 2.9 percent to 77.1
percent.
