Trade: Africa is an ideal market

Bicycles, motorcycles, TV sets, textile products…More and more made-in-China
products of good quality and low prices are becoming goods in great demand in
remote African countries. The Chinese government recently published a report
saying that Africa is an ideal market for products made in China.
This report targeted at Chinese enterprises looking to invest in Africa was
prepared by the research institute of international economy under the
International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform
Commission. It provides Chinese investors reliable statistics and authoritative
analysis about Africa and shows that Africa will be a new hotspot for overseas
investment in the next several years.
"With 700 million people, Africa is not only a vast market, but also a land
with numerous opportunities. Nearly all African countries have great demand for
light industrial products, household appliances and electronic products. This is
a huge market many Chinese merchants have ignored," says the
report.
