Culture: Hope for new sites

The Chinese delegation to the 30th session of the World Heritage Committee,
which began on Saturday, yesterday said they were optimistic about the inclusion
of two more Chinese sites into the World Heritage List.
UNESCO experts
have spoken positively of the two Chinese sites, Tian Xiaogang,
secretary-general of the National Commission of China for UNESCO, told reporters
at the meeting.
