And for those who prefer to shop from home online, the options are endless. Online shopping in China makes it possible to get almost anything a shopper desires, be it homemade or something offered exclusively by another country.

Of the 591 million Chinese with Internet access - almost half of the country's total population - 271 million shop online, according to January-June 2013 statistics released by the China Internet Network Information Center.

Online retailers launch different campaigns to promote sales and Single’s Day Nov. 11 is the most attractive among them, with almost all major online retailers offering hefty discounts.
