Georgia is expecting to enhance cooperation with China in an all-round way, said Georgian Ambassador to China Mikhail Ukleba on Monday.

"Georgia and China have signed about 40 documents on bilateral relations since the two countries forged diplomatic relations in 1992," said Ukleba amid the visit to China by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.

At the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao, Saakashvili arrived in Beijing on Monday afternoon for a state visit to China from April 10 to 15.

Georgia and China enjoy great potential for trade cooperation, and Georgia will carry out cooperation with China in such fields as transportation, electricity, agriculture and construction of economic zone, said Ukleba.

China, with brilliant and age-old history, has made great achievement in economic development and played important roles in international affairs, said Ukleba.

Georgia will, as always, adhere to one-China policy, Ukleba added.
