Beijing Hyundai launches hatchback Elantra

Updated: 2006-11-23 11:36 Beijing Hyundai Motor Co Ltd on November 18 launched its hatchback Elantra, and its South Korean partner Hyundai also launched a new sport utility vehicle (SUV) model, the EN Veracruz, at the 2006 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, which opened in the China International Exhibition Center and Beijing National Agricultural Exhibition Center on November 18.
The hatchback Elantra is a fashionable, sporty new model. The EN Veracruz's body is larger than the Santa Fe and has more innovate technologies. Beijing Hyundai and its South Korean partner Hyundai exhibited 13 models covering conception cars, family cars and rovers, including the Sonata, the 1.6-liter Elantra equipped with a continuous variable valve timing (CVVT) engine, the Tucson and NF Yuxiang, the economical car Accent and the new hatchback Elantra from Beijing Hydundai, the new Coupe, the Santa Fe, the Matrix, the TG, the Equus, the EN Veracruz and a conception car HE D-3 from Hydundai.
