Datang telecom under fire

The Shanghai Stock Exchange has publicly condemned Datang
Telecom Technology Co Ltd over information disclosure. Datang, a hi-tech
enterprise listed at the exchange, said in an October 28 statement that it
anticipated a profit for the 2006 fiscal year. In a statement on April 5,
however, it said it would suffer a huge loss. The exchange said Datang violated
the regulations.
