Mainland may allow QDIIs to buy Taiwan stocks

The Chinese mainland is considering allowing investors to buy Taiwan stocks through the Qualified Domestic Institutional Investor (QDII) scheme, State Council Taiwan Affairs Office spokesman Li Weiyi said on Wednesday.

As for how to hold the Taiwan shares, the mainland government needs to specify, Li said at a press conference in Beijing.
