Chinese equities ended Tuesday's morning session 0.11 percent lower led by heavyweights.

The Shanghai A-share index slide 2.87 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 2,510.83, while the Shenzhen Component Index edged up 27.32 points, or 0.29 percent, to 9,567.12.

Losses outnumbered gains by 429 to 368 in Shanghai, while gains outnumbered losses by 364 to 319 in Shenzhen.

Combined turnover was 134.1 billion yuan ($19.62 billion).
