China-Russia oil pipeline to pass through permafrost soil

China in May started construction of a crude oil pipeline to import oil from Russia in Mohe in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, following a loan-for-oil accord signed with Russia in April.

With a total length of 950.5 kilometers, the China part of the pipeline will go through 450 kilometers of permafrost soil...
