Chinese equities close flat Friday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed almost flat Friday, backed by property and financial shares.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.03 points to end at ?2,424.27.

The Shenzhen Stock Index rose 0.9 percent, or 87.91 points, to 9,803.64 points.

Total turnover shrank to 105.6 billion yuan ($15.76 billion), from 132.66 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
