Cement producers drive Chinese shares higher - Oct 13

BEIJING - Chinese stocks continued the upward move on Oct 12 to end higher on Oct 13, aided by cement makers on a government plan to boost sales in rural areas.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went up 0.7 percent, or 19.95 points, to close at 2,861.36.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.86 percent, or 229.72 points, to end at 12,603.
