BEIJING - Chinese shares closed up Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 10.01 points, or 0.34 percent, to 2,919.14.
The Shenzhen Component Index increased 23.53 points, or 0.19 percent, to 12,667.26.
