Heilongjiang's clothing exports to Russia up 70%

Northeast China's Heilongjiang province exported $500 million worth of garments and accessories in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 24.8 percent over the same period of last year, according to local customs house.

Of the total, 50.4 percent, or $250 million worth, were sold to Russia, up 70.7 percent year-on-year.

Around 94 percent of the province's clothing exports, or 470 million $ worth, were sold by private businesses.
