HONG KONG -- Hong Kong stocks gained 16.5 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 22,747.28 on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,519.66 and 22, 767.01. Turnover totaled HK$60.69 billion ($7.8 billion).
