Beijing's Central Business District (CBD) will launch new development schemes in the next five years to facilitate the area's global cooperation, officials said during a forum Friday.

The CBD area, located in east Beijing's Chaoyang District, is home to many Fortune 500's China headquarters and embassies.

A Roundtable forum of Embassy Commercial Counselors was held in Beijing on Friday to discuss how to draw experiences from CBD areas in other countries and build the Beijing CBD into a more international one.
