The Changan PSA joint venture has announced that it will begin selling the Citroen DS3, DS4 and DS5 in China in the first half of 2012.

Eric Apode, the joint venture’s president, said Changan PSA will begin by importing the models to the country and then start domestic production. Changan PSA will do the marketing, networking, advertising and sales work for the DS series.

Changan PSA hopes for domestically-made vehicles to make up at least half of its sales. It wants to create a brand new, independent sales model for the DS series. The DS series will mainly target large cities, and sales channels are ready for Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other first-tier cities, according to media reports.
