China Minsheng Banking Corp will positively help Chinese companies reach merger and acquisition deals in Central and Eastern Europe in 2015, its senior executive told China Daily on Tuesday.

"With the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese companies will have more M&A deals for resources and advanced technologies in Central and Eastern Europe in 2015 and coming years," said Zhang Lizhou, general manager of the investment banking department of China Minsheng Banking Corp.

"We will follow our Chinese clients to go abroad and provide them with diversified financial products for the M&A deals."

Zhang said the bank participated in Chinese companies' M&A deals in Africa, Europe and North America in 2014.

The bank set up a M&A alliance in 2013, and 10 new institutions participated in the alliance at the end of March.
