Liao Ming, a subway driver in Beijing, has safely carried commuters on the city's Line 13 for nearly 30 years.

Although his job may appear as routine as any other, Liao always keeps passengers' safety in mind, and protects them with his proficient driving skills and rich experience.

Line 13 is operated above ground, so changes in weather factor into his safety mindset. So far, his carefulness has succeeded: his safety driving distance has reached 960,000 km.

Liao has received many awards during his driving career, not only from his company, but also from the city and central government of China.
