The fast proliferation of taxi hailing apps such as Kuaidi taxi and car sharing services such as Uber, have changed how we call for taxis, no more standing on a curb and waving in vain at passing taxis, just a tap on the smart-phone, and a nearby taxi will be notified and come to pick you up.
