The first mid-sized sedan made by domestic carmaker BAIC Motor recently hit the market at prices between 139,800 and 215,800 yuan.

The four-door, five-seat model was developed based on technologies BAIC acquired from Swedish automaker Saab in 2009. Noted Italian design firm Pininfarina did the exterior design.

The Senova has three turbocharged engine options - the 1.8T, 2.0T and 2.3T with a standard five-speed automatic transmission.

The 2.3T version has maximum output of 184kW and top torque of 350Nm.

It accelerates from zero to 100 km in 8.2 seconds. The car is 4,861 mm long, 1,820 mm wide and 1,462 mm high.

It has a 2,755 mm long wheelbase.
