SHANGHAI -- Tablet computer sales growth in China slowed during the second quarter of this year with sales totaling 3.57 million units, a major technology industry analyst said.

The figure represents a 5.2 percent increase over first quarter sales, compared with a 6.3 percent quarter over quarter increase reported in the ?first quarter, according to a report released by Analysys International on Wednesday.

Apple products also saw declining sales and a shrinking market share in China during the second quarter, said Wang Jun, an analyst with Analysys International.

Second quarter saw sales of Apple products fall for the first time in Greater China, which includes the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

According to Apple's financial report,iPad sales totaled about 14.62 million units in the quarter ending June 29, down 14 percent year on year and 25 percent from the previous quarter.
