Wandoujia, China's leading Android app store with more than 200 million users, launched a video search service on Sept 12 that aims to act as a major mobile-content portal for smartphone users.

Wandoujia set up a beta version of the video search service in July, and now the service integrates more than 580,000 episodes of in-apps videos, said Wang Junyun, Wandoujia's co-founder and CEO. About 3,000 episodes of videos are added each day, he added.

The number of independent users of Wandoujia's video search service has risen tenfold since July. The service allows users to automatically download preferred TV dramas and help them save mobile phone contract data.

Founded in 2009, Wandoujia has become the most popular Android app store in China. It owns more than 620,000 diversified applications. The company launched an international version, SnapPea, in June 2012.
