One Direction are "grateful" for their success.

The boy band - Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horran and Louis Tomlinson - know they are privileged to have been given the opportunities they have since competing on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' in 2010.

Speaking at the BRIT Awards - where they picked up the publicly-voted Best British Single for 'What Makes You Beautiful' - at London's The O2 last night (21.02.12), Harry said: ''I think for us, we're all at the age of 18/19/20, to get to do this, people of our age don't get to do stuff like this very often and we're just so grateful to all the fans who have put us where we are, the radio stations and everything else, were just ever so ever so grateful to have this massive opportunity and we're just having fun and working hard.''

Despite their success, the group insists they haven't changed with fame.

Zayn told BANG Showbiz: "Us, we're still normal."

Because they only received one statuette for their BRIT Award, the quintet decided to allocate the prize fairly - joking that they planned to divide it into pieces.
