4-m-yuan jackpot winner would have torn ticket

A lottery-crazy man in Foshan, Guangdong province, almost tore his winning ticket to pieces, thinking he could never get lucky.

The ticket he was about to tear had just hit a 4-million-yuan ($585,489) jackpot. But his friend asked him to at least check the numbers before destroying it.

The overjoyed man said he was grateful to his friend but won't share the jackpot amount with him.
