Bank refuses service to man with common name

Updated: 2009-09-03 09:56 A bank in Dongguan, Guangdong province, refused to open an account for a resident, saying his name -- Li Jun -- was too common and they already had 300 account holders with the same name. The bank said they had stopped opening accounts for people named Li Jun. Li has consulted lawyers and is considering filing a lawsuit against the bank. (Guangzhou Daily) |
