BEIJING - China's top legislature will vote on the draft decisions on amending the military service law, the resident identity card law and a bill on strengthening anti-terrorism efforts at the end of its bimonthly session on Saturday.

The decision was made at a meeting of the chairman and vice chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, on Thursday. The meeting was presided over by Chairman Wu Bangguo.

The draft amendment to the Military Service Law promises better employment opportunities for disabled servicemen, giving preference to disabled soldiers registering for the civil servant examination or applying for positions in government institutions.

The draft amendment to the Resident Identity Card Law proposes adding fingerprints to residents' identity cards in an effort to prevent counterfeiting and terrorism.

The bill on strengthening anti-terrorism efforts proposes that the funds and assets of terrorist groups and individuals be frozen after their names are published by public security authorities.

Before being put to a vote, all three drafts will undergo further deliberation and revisions based on the opinion of the members of the NPC Standing Committee.
