President Hu Jintao on Monday met with Lee Myung-bak, president of the Republic of Korea (ROK), the host of the 2012 Nuclear Security Summit, at Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul.

This is the first official meeting between the two leaders after Lee's state visit to China in January.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of China-ROK diplomatic relations. China is now ROK's largest trade partner, export destination and import source, as well as ROK's largest overseas direct investment's destination and labor services import provider.

ROK is China's third-largest trade partner.

The talk is estimated to last for 40 minutes, and both sides will exchange views on international and regional issues of common concerns as well as bilateral ties.

This is Hu's first bilateral meeting after arriving in Seoul on Sunday to attend the summit.

According to schedule, Hu later will meet South African President Jacob Zuma and US President Barack Obama.
