Chen Shuhan, 21, oiler
Chen Shuhan was oiling machinery at the bottom of the ship when the accident happened, according to Xinhua.
When the vessel overturned, with the bottom part flipping over, he found himself on top of the ship, and that saved his life as he was not in water like so many others.
Not daring to move he waited in the dark and was finally rescued on June 2 after being trapped for nearly 20 hours.
