Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a message of condolence to his Indonesian counterpart Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono yesterday as rescuers battled huge waves and a downpour to look for survivors of a ferry that capsized in the waters off Indonesia's Sulawesi island on Sunday.
