Industry leaders will debate strategy for the steel sector during the sixth China International Steel Congress, to be held in Beijing from May 8-12.

This year's congress will focus on development strategies in the post-crisis era and will call on industry leaders to review the steel industry development in the last 10 years, analyze the impacts of the financial crisis and identify a path in the coming five to 10 years. The event is organized by China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) and Metallurgical Council of CCPIT.

Since its birth in 2000, China's International Steel Congress has been held once every two years and is a high-level conference focusing on the strategic issues facing the industry.
