CHAOZHOU, Guangdong province - The Guangzhou Asian Games torch relay is bracing itself for the typhoon called Megi, which is expected to hit most parts of Guangdong province.

As a contingency plan, parts of the relay will be held at indoor stadiums, Nie Lan, an official of the torch relay operation team, said on Friday.

"We have introduced emergency plans to ensure the smooth running of the flame before the opening of the games," she said.
