Ethnic voices sound out

The Xinjiang Song and Dance Ensemble will present the Beautiful Xinjiang gala, featuring more than 60 actors and music from 13 ethnic groups, including the Uygur, Kazak and Tajik. The show also features acrobatic performances, including scenes in which actors balance bowls on their heads. Since its 1949 founding, the ensemble has created and staged many ethnic song-and-dance performances. It has also put on stage dance dramas and orchestra performances with rich ethnic characteristics. Beautiful Xinjiang is created by the ensemble and the Beijing Oriental Song and Dance Troupe.
