China has more than 2.64 million people who have studied or are studying overseas from 1978 to 2012. The figure is the highest of any country, according to a report that the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange under the Ministry of Education released on Friday. In 2012, nearly 400,000 Chinese went overseas to study. The center said Chinese parents now tend to send their children abroad at a younger age than before.
