Relatives say airline failed to provide enough information

By Xu Wei | China Daily | Updated: 2014-03-10 08:16

Ignatius Ong Ming Choy, a senior representative of Malaysia Airlines, said the company is prepared to transport two relatives of every missing passenger to Kuala Lumpur, but may allow as many as five family members to travel if necessary.

Relatives have reacted to a perceived lack of information with frustration and anxiety. They demanded more information and asked the Chinese government for assistance.

Tired of waiting for news at the Lido Hotel, a short journey from the capital's international airport, the friends and relatives issued a joint statement on Sunday afternoon calling for Malaysia Airlines to make all the facts about the case public before 5 pm, and to make the information available to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
