“We hope that Chinese kids and their parents can know more about our country by participating in the event,” German Ambassador to China Michael Clauss said.

This year marks the international exchange year of youth between China and Germany. As an integrated part of the annual event, the German Open Day sets out to promote people-to-people exchanges, especially among youth.

“Culture has played an essential role in advancing the bilateral relationship. An earlier understanding of each other’s culture will be conducive to the growth of young people,” the ambassador added.
