4. Qinhuai River in Nanjing of Jiangsu

Qinhuai River is the cradle of old civilization in Nanjing and the mother river of Nanjing. Boasting a rich history and a lost prosperity, the place bears too much stories. Famous Tang Dynasty poet Du Mu wrote in the poetry named Qinhuai River that "The singing girls (comes from the poetry of Tang Dynasty) don't know the agony of the lost home; Still singing the song of 'Backyard Flower'(decadent music that presaging the fallen state ) beyond the river."
