LONDON, Jan 28 - Russia set a women's 4 x 400 metres relay indoor world
record of three minutes 23.37 seconds during an international meeting in Glasgow
on Saturday.
The quartet of Yuliya Gushchina, Olga Kotlyarova, Olga Zaytseva and Olesya
Krasnomovets beat the previous mark of 3:23.88 also held by Russia and run in
Budapest in March 2004.
The world indoor championships will be held in Moscow from March 10 to 12.
