Bride furious after friend gifts IOU on wedding

Updated: 2009-10-14 08:59 A bride got into a fierce quarrel with a friend who gave her an IOU for a gift on her wedding in Benxi, Liaoning province. While screaming at her friend at the party, the bride kept repeating that it was a bad omen to give an IOU to a couple about to start a new life together. In his defense, the friend said he gave away all the cash he had to a number of friends who got married over the week-long national Day holiday.
