An officer of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy erupts in joy during a ceremony to welcome the fourth PLA Navy escort task group, which returned to its base in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province, on Friday. The group, which consists of Frigate Maanshan, Frigate Wenzhou and Comprehensive Supply Ship Qiandaohu, returned home after completing an escort mission in the Gulf of Aden aimed at protecting commercial ships from pirates in Somali waters.
