This is French artist Sebastien Courty's third solo exhibition. Originally trained as a painter, Courty has since found creative inspiration in the overlap between traditional painting, textile art, and fashion design. For Unknown Empire, he'll cover Aotu's walls and interior spaces with 'ambidextrous fabric', creating three-dimensional compositions with painted, folded and burnt silk cloth.
