Pigs and chickens thrive on music

Farmers say "yes" to muzak for pigs and chickens in Longnan, Jiangxi
Province, adding that pigs seem to enjoy light music and grow faster as a
result, reports People's Daily.
At the Jintang Livestock Base in Dongjiang Village, farmers hang loudspeakers
inside their pigsties, which are connected to CD players in their homes. The
farmers play light music for the pigs for two hours every day during the
animals' feeding times.
"Pigs eat better and sleep more soundly after hearing the music," said one
farmer. Most weigh 20 kilograms more than usual.
